The Goldens' Retreat is not just a pool — it's an experience. Just 20 minutes from downtown Durham and downtown Chapel Hill, our 13 acre oasis is tucked away in the quiet of the woods, perched on one of the highest elevation points in Orange County. Surrounded by large rock outcroppings, it has the feel of a mountain escape without leaving the Triangle. Whether you're after solitude or celebration, the serene space adapts easily to small or large groups. Our 16ft x 40ft crystal-clear saltwater pool offers plenty of room for swimming laps, playing, and floating. The expansive backyard is beautifully appointed with lounging chairs, large umbrella, fire pit, pool floats, and open grassed space for yard games. Off the pool, a large covered patio provides ample shaded seating — including a hammock and hammock swing, multiple ceiling fans, a mounted big-screen TV, and fridge and freezer. This retreat also includes a private pool restroom with a shower, and the entire property is professionally treated for mosquitoes. Water temperature typically runs 78–84°F and can be heated higher with 24 hours' advance notice for an additional fee. Please leave the space as you found it — before leaving, take all trash/recycling with you to the end of the gravel road and drop-off in the commercial bins.
