Winter temperatures: abandoned, distressed or Industrial locations. Many abandoned > Industrial offer little or inadequate Heat. We have a 200,000 BTU Heating unit giving instant heat in 10 minutes. Furthermore for film shoots requiring scenes of indoor/outdoor entry, we have 3 battery operated heat vests.
The double truck garage bay is 23 ft wide x 28 ft 4" deep with a height of 13 ft 4" max Drive-In height / 14 ft 4" to ceiling
The loading dock stands 31" off the ground, 23 ft wide x 23 ft deep x 11 ft 7 in high, (120" to bottom of beams)
Internal loading dock perimeter can have industrial Gates rolled down depending on need.
Rear of the building is 23 ft wide x 48 ft deep. Which is currently a multi-material, woodworking, welding and industrial sewing shop.
This industrial Warehouse boasts a 1940s stainless steel elevator.
LED lighting is on a retractable pulley system which can be lifted flush with the ceiling or lowered depending on need.
Entire front of building has… a double truck curb cut facing southward directly onto a city park unobstructed.
Industrial building is in the heart of East Williamsburg, a block and a half away from the g train, and the m & j train. On the same street Montrose Avenue as the L train stop.
The building has a dubious soprano Jewish story. From the 1930s to the 1990s it made the front page of the newspapers several times. The story ends well with the New York Times story: For Smoked Fish, the Brooklyn touch. View snippet articles.
We have several other separate shoot environments at the location. If you're interested in doing a library with some rooftop garden shoots or our distressed brick space with our Factory garage ground floor space please make an inquiry. Depending on the arrangements we could offer a discount of renting multiple spaces.
If you're looking for an authentic industrial, distressed location this offers multiple environments. Certain spaces lend itself to abandoned, haunted or vacant shoot projects. Likewise because we can control the interior environment couples with it solid brick and concrete ceilings many of the spaces lend itself to podcast or audio interviews.
We have numerous props and industrial artifacts that support a tactile and textured feel to the existing space.
Many of the distressed and industrial props are at location and are separate from space rental fees. Depending on your shoot and usage this could be made available.
We are able to provide a 3D walkthrough video of the space. There's a toolbar embedded in the 3D video that allows you to take actual measurements width, height & distance.
