Fully Accessible Shallow Warm Pool

Welcome to our fully accessible, warm indoor pool! We are Participation House Markham (PHM), a community-based organization that supports adults with disabilities. We are excited to make our pool available for rental outside of our regular program hours. Our primary goal is to provide a convenient, warm, and accessible space for certified swim instructors looking for a pool to host private swimming lessons. Whether you teach infants and young children, offer individual lessons, or provide specialized or adaptive swimming instruction, our facility may be a great fit for your needs. Our pool is fully accessible and designed to accommodate individuals with a wide range of physical abilities and accessibility needs. As our pool is regularly used by the individuals we support through our programs, accessibility and inclusion are important parts of our facility. Changerooms are available for instructors and their swimmers, and on-site parking is provided. Parents are welcome to wait for their children or watch lessons from the lobby area. Rental Details Cost: $50 per hour. Rental includes access to the pool and changerooms only. Parents and spectators may wait or watch from the lobby area. Availability: Weekdays: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Weekends: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Requirements for Swim Instructors To ensure a safe and professional environment for everyone, all instructors must meet the following requirements before their first rental: 1. Swim Instructor Certification All instructors must provide proof of current swim instructor certification from a reputable organization, such as Swim Ontario, the YMCA, or an equivalent recognized organization. 2. Liability Insurance Instructors must provide proof of liability insurance with coverage of at least $2 million.
